2026 IndyCar Schedule Unveiled: Exciting Changes and Additions Await!
The highly anticipated 2026 IndyCar schedule has been unveiled, featuring some exciting changes and additions. Originally expected to be released in July alongside the announcement of a race in Mexico City, the schedule now includes a doubleheader weekend at the Milwaukee Mile and a shift of the Nashville race to coincide with the men's FIFA World Cup final on July 19. The season finale will now take place at Laguna Seca, with a total of 17 races on the calendar.
The schedule kicks off on March 1 with the Streets of St. Petersburg, followed by races at Phoenix Raceway and the Streets of Arlington. The lineup includes two new street races and a return to the oval in Phoenix, offering a diverse mix of tracks and challenges for drivers throughout the season.
Fans can look forward to iconic races such as the Indianapolis 500 on May 24, the Streets of Detroit on May 31, and the Road America race on June 21. The season will culminate with the final race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on September 6, promising an exciting conclusion to the IndyCar season.
