EVH 5150 Iconic 15W Head: Recreating Eddie Van Halen's Legendary Sound
EVH has introduced the new 5150 Iconic 15W Series Head, a compact tube amp designed to replicate Eddie Van Halen's iconic sound. The amp features a sleek design that closely resembles its larger counterpart, the 5150 Iconic 80W. With an EL34 power amp and two ECC83s in the preamp, the 5150 Iconic 15W Head delivers 15 watts of tube power.
Equipped with two channels with independent volume and gain controls, the amp offers a versatile range of tones. It also includes global presence/resonance controls, a 10 dB boost control, and a ¼ power switch for wattage reduction. Additionally, the amp features a digital reverb for added versatility.
On the rear panel, the 5150 Iconic 15W Head offers a serial FX loop, flexible speaker outputs, and an XLR output with speaker simulation for direct recording. It also includes a speaker output with switchable impedance settings and a 2-way foot switch for channel switching and boost activation.
