Experience the Thrill of the Tampa Bay Lightning's First Home Outdoor Game at Raymond James Stadium

Experience the thrill of the Tampa Bay Lightning's first home outdoor game by securing your tickets now through TicketMaster. This exciting event is part of the NHL's Stadium Series and will feature a matchup against the Bruins on the evening of Feb. 1st, 2026, at Raymond James Stadium. This game marks the league's 45th stadium event and the furthest south outdoor game hosted by the NHL.
The Sunshine State will also host its first-ever outdoor game in Miami on Jan. 2, 2026, at loanDepot Park. Unlike the enclosed stadium in Miami, the game in Tampa will require the construction of a massive tent over the field at Raymond James Stadium to protect the rink from the elements. This custom-designed tension fabric building will withstand Florida's weather extremes and ensure optimal playing conditions for the players.
The NHL's decision to bring an outdoor event to Tampa was influenced by the success of the outdoor rink at Winter Village in downtown Tampa. With average temperatures around 71 degrees in February, humidity poses a challenge for maintaining the ice quality. To combat this, the NHL plans to regulate the temperature and humidity inside the tent to create the best possible playing surface for the game.
The construction of the tent will take six hours to set up and will be equipped with an HVAC system to control the environment inside. In the event of inclement weather, the league has a backup plan in place to ensure the game can be played as scheduled. Don't miss this historic event in Tampa Bay and secure your tickets to witness the Lightning in action under the stars.
