Arizona Women's Basketball Team to Showcase Skills at Men's Red-Blue Showcase 3-Point Contest

Arizona's major sports teams often hold intrasquad scrimmages in front of fans, with events like the spring game for football and the Red-Blue game for soccer, volleyball, and men's basketball. However, women's basketball has been one of the few sports without a similar event. This year, the Arizona women's basketball team will participate in the Arizona men's basketball Red-Blue Showcase by hosting a 3-point shooting contest.
While the women's team has previously been involved in exhibition events alongside the men's team, this will be the first time they will showcase their basketball skills on the court. The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3 at 5:45 p.m. MST at McKale Center and will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Arizona women's basketball season kicks off with an exhibition game against West Texas A&M on Thursday, Oct. 23, followed by their first official game against UC Riverside on Thursday, Nov. 6. The team will play all their exhibition and nonconference games at home, providing fans with plenty of opportunities to support the Wildcats.
In conclusion, the Arizona women's basketball team will be participating in the Arizona men's basketball Red-Blue Showcase this year, showcasing their skills in a 3-point shooting contest. Fans can catch the action on Friday, Oct. 3 at McKale Center and follow the team as they start their season with exhibition and nonconference games at home.
