Seattle Kraken Preseason Opener: Watch the Excitement on KONG!
The Seattle Kraken are gearing up for their first preseason game of the 2025-26 NHL season against the Vancouver Canucks at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. The game is scheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m. and will be broadcast on KONG, available for streaming through DirecTV Stream and Fubo, as well as via antenna, cable, and satellite. Fans will get a first look at the revamped Kraken team following off-season coaching and player changes.
New Head Coach Lane Lambert, who replaced Dan Bylsma in June, will make his debut. The team also welcomed forward Mason Marchment from the Dallas Stars and forward Frederick Gaudreau, who led the Minnesota Wild in faceoffs last season. Key players like Jaden Schwartz, Eeli Tolvanen, and Jared McCann, the Kraken's top scorer last season, are returning to the team.
KING 5 and KONG are the official local television partners of the Kraken, airing all six preseason games on KONG. The stations will broadcast 73 of the team's 82 regular-season games, with national partners covering the remaining nine games. KONG can also be streamed through DirecTV Stream and Fubo. Additionally, KING 5 and KONG will air "Kraken Home Ice," a weekly magazine show featuring team stories, player interviews, and more, starting on Oct. 4 at 10:30 p.m. on KONG and KING 5+.
