Miley Cyrus released her eighth studio album, Something Beautiful, earlier this year, showcasing a new evolution in her sound and style. The album, described as her version of Pink Floyd’s The Wall, delves into themes of finding happiness amidst life’s challenges. Today, Cyrus unveils the deluxe version of the album, featuring two new tracks, including a collaboration with Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood on the song “Secrets.”
“Secrets” serves as a heartfelt gesture from Cyrus to her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, with whom she had been estranged following her parents’ divorce in 2022. The song symbolizes reconciliation and forgiveness in their relationship, with Cyrus expressing her love and gratitude for the renewed connection. The extended album also includes a collaboration with David Byrne on the track “Lockdown,” marking the longest song of Cyrus’ career at 13-and-a-half minutes.
Despite the release of the deluxe version of Something Beautiful, Cyrus has indicated that she has no plans for a tour to support the album. Fans can enjoy the musical film accompanying the album, available for streaming on Hulu.
