Community Fun: Taylor Swift-Inspired Engagement Party and Yard Swap at Kenton County Public Library
This weekend, the Kenton County Public Library is hosting two exciting events for the community. On Friday, September 26, the Covington Branch will host "The Wedding You're Not Invited To," a Taylor Swift-inspired engagement party from 7 to 9 p.m. This after-hours event will feature music, games, food, and a bracelet-making activity, suitable for ages 9 and up. No registration is required for this free event.
The following day, on Saturday, September 27, the Latonia Branch will host a Community Yard Swap from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring gently used items to swap, which can be dropped off on Friday from noon to 5 p.m. or on Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. Any items left at the end of the swap will be donated to a local charity.
Accepted items for the swap include youth apparel, furniture, electronics, garden supplies, office supplies, tools, toys, games, and sporting goods. Items not accepted include adult clothing, pianos, trash, broken electronics, rusty or moldy items, and tires. A Kenton County Public Library card is required to shop at the event, and individuals living in Kentucky or Cincinnati can obtain a card by presenting a valid ID with their current address.
The library's public relations manager, Gina Stegner, expressed excitement about the diverse programming offered by the library, catering to book lovers, bargain hunters, and fans of Taylor Swift.
