Taylor Swift Unveils Exclusive Album Covers for 'The Life of a Showgirl' Pre-Orders
Taylor Swift has revealed details about her upcoming 12th album, "The Life of a Showgirl," set to be released on Oct. 3. To build anticipation for the album, Swift has unveiled various versions of the album cover that fans can purchase from different retailers and online platforms. These pre-orders are limited and have already sold out in some cases. While pre-ordering does not guarantee delivery before the release date, Target is offering a special option where select stores will stay open late to distribute the album to customers who pre-ordered through their website.
The initial announcement of the "Standard Edition" of "The Life of a Showgirl" was made by Swift on her fiancé Travis Kelce's podcast in August. This version is available in various formats, including vinyl, CD, cassette, digital download, and streaming on Swift's official website. Additionally, a Target-exclusive cover titled "The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd Is Your King Edition" features a unique "summertime spritz pink shimmer vinyl" color. Customers can also pre-order the "Standard Edition" at Walmart.
Swift introduced the "It’s Beautiful, It’s Rapturous and It’s Frightening" CD variants on Aug. 18, each showcasing a different photo. The "It’s Frightening" variant depicts Swift climbing over chairs, while "It’s Rapturous" shows her covering her face with her hands. The "It’s Beautiful" variant captures Swift in a bling outfit striking a pose. These CD variants will be available exclusively at Target for those who missed out on purchasing them from Swift's website.
On Aug. 18, Swift also unveiled the "Shiny Bug" collection, featuring two vinyl variants with the same cover art but different colors: "violet shimmer marbled vinyl" and "wintergreen and onyx marbled vinyl." Subsequently, on Aug. 21, she introduced the "Baby That’s Show Business" collection, which includes two vinyl variants with a Vegas showgirl-themed cover. The vinyl colors are "lovely bouquet golden vinyl" and "lakeside beach blue sparkle vinyl."
Finally, on Aug. 25, Swift announced the "Tiny Bubble in Champagne" collection, offering two vinyl colors: "under bright lights pearlescent vinyl" and "red lipstick & lace transparent vinyl." Both vinyl variants feature a close-up image of Swift in a Vegas showgirl outfit. Fans have a variety of options to choose from when pre-ordering "The Life of a Showgirl" album, each with its unique design and color scheme.
