Little Richard and Jimi Hendrix, two iconic figures in rock 'n' roll history, crossed paths in a unique musical event at the Paramount Theater in New York City in 1965. At the time, Hendrix was performing under the name Maurice James as part of Little Richard's backing band, The Upsetters. The event featured a lineup of comedians and B-list musical acts, with Little Richard being the biggest name on the bill.
