Earl Newman: Six Decades of Lyrical Compositions Exhibition at The Haley Gallery

The Haley Gallery is currently showcasing the exhibition "Earl Newman: Six Decades of Lyrical Compositions," featuring the renowned poster printmaker Earl Newman. The exhibit, which will be on display until Nov. 14, highlights Newman's vintage silkscreened posters and new collaborative works with Hatch Show Print. Newman has been creating posters for over 70 years, producing around 100 prints at a time using the silkscreen medium, resulting in unique variations for each print.

Recently, the Hatch Show Print hosted a workshop titled "Papercuts and Rainbows," led by Wendy Murray with Newman as a special guest. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to create their own screen prints inspired by Newman's iconic work. Newman is best known for his Monterey Jazz Festival posters, with a complete collection of his work housed at the Smithsonian. His portfolio includes a wide range of works created for various festivals and institutions.

All the pieces featured in the exhibition are available for purchase, and more details can be provided upon request. Visit the Haley Gallery to experience the timeless artistry of Earl Newman and explore the rich history of his lyrical compositions.
