Blue Lock Anime Season 3 and Live-Action Film: Exciting Updates and Future Releases

Blue Lock anime has been confirmed for a Season 3 and a live-action film adaptation. The manga series, created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, was the inspiration behind the anime developed by Studio Eight Bit, which premiered in Japan in October 2022 and returned for a second season in October 2024.
During the Blue Lock Egoist Fest 2025, the creators announced the upcoming Season 3 of the anime and the live-action adaptation. The live-action film is set to be released in Summer 2026, coinciding with the 2026 FIFA World Cup scheduled to take place in the US, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
While the release date for Blue Lock Season 3 has not been confirmed, it is likely to premiere after the live-action movie. Following the pattern of the previous seasons releasing in the fourth quarters of their respective years, Season 3 may debut in late 2026.
