Carly Pearce Pays Tribute to Jeannie Seely at Grand Ole Opry's London Show

Carly Pearce recently paid tribute to the late Jeannie Seely at the Grand Ole Opry's special show in London, England. Seely, a beloved Opry icon, passed away in 2025 at the age of 85. Pearce, who considered Seely a dear friend and mentor, wore some of Seely's jewelry onstage during the show.
Seely, a longtime member of the Grand Ole Opry, had a deep connection to the Opry family and performed on the Opry stage more times than any other singer. Pearce, who was devastated by Seely's passing, couldn't attend her memorial service at the Opry due to a prior commitment in California. However, she felt a special connection to Seely when she encountered a Shih Tzu named Seely while out for breakfast on the day of the memorial service.
The Grand Ole Opry made history with its first international show at the Royal Albert Hall in London on September 26. The star-studded lineup included performances by Carly Pearce, Luke Combs, Darius Rucker, Ashley McBryde, and more. Pearce surprised the audience by inviting Combs onstage for a duet of their award-winning song "I Hope You're Happy Now," marking the first time they performed the song together live.
Throughout her performance, Pearce subtly honored Seely by wearing some of her jewelry onstage. She shared a heartfelt message she had conveyed to Seely before her passing, highlighting the special bond they shared. Pearce's tribute to Seely added a poignant touch to the Opry's historic show in London.
