Howl Owl Howl: New Band Featuring Mike Mills, Steve Gorman, and Darius Rucker Set to Release Debut Single and Tour Dates
R.E.M.’s Mike Mills, former The Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman, and Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker have joined forces to create the new band Howl Owl Howl. To celebrate the announcement, Rucker shared his rendition of R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts" on Instagram, calling it "episode 1 of Songs I Wish I’d Written." R.E.M. praised his cover on Instagram and expressed excitement for Howl Owl Howl's upcoming debut.
Howl Owl Howl is gearing up to release their first single, "My Cologne," on Oct. 31. The band will kick off a nine-date tour on Nov. 3 in Indianapolis. Fans can find the full tour schedule on howlowlhowl.com.
