Rising Star: Colton Mason's Journey in BMX Racing

Colton Mason, a 12-year-old 7th grader at Frontier Middle School, has embarked on an exciting journey in BMX racing. Introduced to the sport this spring, Colton quickly fell in love with it after participating in a try-it-out race at the Moses Lake BMX track. His talent and dedication have propelled him from a novice to an intermediate rider, achieving 10 wins by June and setting his sights on the expert level.

Colton's family credits much of his success to Russell and Bethany Beck of Beck Bros BMX, who not only built his bike but also provide ongoing mentorship and support. With their guidance, Colton has made significant progress and is now competing at a high level in BMX racing.

Having recently participated in the Gold Cup competition, Colton impressed by earning the #2 Gold Cup plate in the 12 intermediate division. His family is proud of his accomplishments and grateful for the opportunities BMX racing has provided him. Traveling across Washington for races, Colton has competed in state qualifier events and is aiming for a podium finish at the state finals in September.

Despite only starting BMX racing a few months ago, Colton has quickly climbed the ranks and is currently ranked #4 in Washington state in his division. His passion for the sport and determination to succeed have driven his rapid rise in the BMX racing community. The future looks bright for this young and talented rider.
