BLACK SWAN Releases New Single 'The Fire And The Flame' Ahead of Third Album
The renowned hard rock group BLACK SWAN, comprised of Robin McAuley, Reb Beach, Jeff Pilson, and Matt Starr, has released a new single titled "The Fire And The Flame" along with an official visualizer through Frontiers Music Srl. The song is part of BLACK SWAN's upcoming third album set to be released in early 2026. McAuley explained that the track explores themes of divine power, personal struggles, and perseverance, using fire and flame as metaphors for intense experiences and reflection.
BLACK SWAN's second album, "Generation Mind," was launched in April 2022. The album, written and composed by McAuley, Pilson, and Beach, was produced by Pilson at Pilsound Studios in Los Angeles, with Starr recording the drums at On Deck Sound Studios. The band's inception was the result of a conversation between Pilson and Frontiers Music Srl president Serafino Perugino, aiming to showcase McAuley's vocals with a strong musical foundation. The collaboration led to the creation of BLACK SWAN, a project that blends heaviness with melody in a unique and powerful way.
Despite the common trend of short-lived supergroups, BLACK SWAN has defied the odds by releasing a second studio album. McAuley emphasized in a 2022 interview that the band's focus is on creating music they enjoy playing and listening to, rather than conforming to a specific sound. The group's cohesion and distinctive sound on "Generation Mind" reflect their commitment to staying true to their musical identity and avoiding the constraints of being labeled as a supergroup. The result is a fresh, energetic, and fun album that showcases BLACK SWAN's unique musical style and camaraderie.
