Slayer's Fiery Onstage Rehearsal and Recent Performances: A Recap of Their 2024 Tour

Slayer, the iconic thrash metal band, recently shared footage of their fiery onstage rehearsal. The video, posted by drummer Paul Bostaph, captures the band rehearsing part of their song "Hell Awaits" with an impressive pyrotechnic display. The band, who retired in 2019 but reformed in 2024, have been performing at various North American and European venues, including the Louder Than Life festival.
In addition to their Louder Than Life performance, Slayer has played at other notable events this year, such as the Festival d'été de Québec in Canada and a headline show at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania. They also made appearances at UK headline shows and Black Sabbath's retirement concert in Birmingham, where they performed a cover of Sabbath's "Wicked World."
Despite their active touring schedule, Slayer has not released new music since their comeback in 2024. Guitarist Kerry King has stated that the band will not embark on a full-scale tour or record new music, as they consider their 2019 farewell tour to be their final statement as a band. However, King has formed his own band and released an album titled "From Hell I Rise," with Bostaph also drumming for King's band.
Looking ahead, King has already begun working on his second album, indicating that he remains active in the music scene. While Slayer may not be actively recording or touring, their legacy continues to resonate with fans worldwide.
