Grammy Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Celebrating a Music Icon

Cyndi Lauper, a legendary musician known for hits like "Time After Time" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," has had a remarkable career spanning nearly five decades. To celebrate her contributions to the music industry, CBS will be airing a special TV event titled A Grammy Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Live from the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, October 5th from 8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT. This special was filmed during the final two nights of Lauper's global Girls Just Wanna Have Fun farewell tour that took place between October 2024 and August of this year.
The TV special will feature guest performances from renowned artists such as Joni Mitchell, Cher, Angelique Kidjo, John Legend, SZA, Mickey Guyton, Trombone Shorty, and Jake Wesley Rogers. Additionally, there will be a video tribute from Brandi Carlile. Lauper, along with Ken Ehrlich, Harvey Mason Jr., Brian Burke, and Lisa Barbaris, served as executive producers for the show.
