Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman Announce Separation After Nearly 20 Years of Marriage

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have recently announced their separation after almost 20 years of marriage. Despite the breakup, Keith continues to perform on his High and Alive World Tour, where he included a photo of Nicole and their daughters in his slideshow during a show in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He also made changes to the lyrics of his song "The Fighter" during a recent performance, addressing musician Maggie Baugh instead of Nicole. Meanwhile, Nicole was spotted on a quiet hike with her sister Antonia Kidman in Nashville, keeping a low profile after officially filing for divorce.

The couple had been living separately since the beginning of the summer, with Nicole taking care of their daughters while Keith resided in a separate residence in Nashville. The decision to split was reportedly one-sided, with Nicole not wanting to divorce Keith. Despite the breakup, they had been seen together at public events earlier in the summer, including their 19th wedding anniversary celebration in June. However, Keith abruptly ended an interview in July when asked about Nicole's onscreen chemistry with Zac Efron.

Nicole and Keith had been making plans for their future, with Nicole applying for residency in Portugal and Keith preparing to do the same. They had also worked out a parenting plan for their daughters, with Nicole listed as the primary residential parent. Both parties signed paperwork related to their divorce in August and September, with Nicole still wearing her wedding ring at a public event in late September. The news of their split broke at the end of September, with Nicole officially filing for divorce on September 30, 2025.
