New York Rangers Centennial Year Celebration: A Look Ahead to the 2025-26 Season

The New York Rangers are gearing up to celebrate their Centennial Year in the upcoming 2025-26 season. They have a series of six preseason games lined up before kicking off their regular season against the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 7. The team currently has 24 players left in Training Camp, consisting of 15 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders.
Among the players in Training Camp, 20 had played for the Rangers in the previous season. The team also welcomed new signings this summer, defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov and forward Taylor Raddysh, who bring experience and skill to the roster. J.T. Miller was named the team's captain on September 16, marking his 14th season in the NHL.
The Rangers, founded in 1926 as part of the "Original Six" teams, are set to commemorate their one hundred years of history throughout the upcoming season. The team unveiled a special Centennial Year logo in March 2025, incorporating elements from their rich history. With a new Head Coach, Mike Sullivan, leading the team, along with Assistant Coaches David Quinn, Joe Sacco, and Ty Hennes, the Rangers are aiming for success in the new season.
