Minnesota United Clinches Dominant 3-0 Victory Over Sporting Kansas City: Markanich and Pereyra Shine

Minnesota United secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City with goals from Anthony Markanich and JoaquĆn Pereyra. Markanich scored in both halves, with Pereyra contributing a goal and an assist. Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair made three saves to secure his 10th clean sheet of the season for Minnesota United. Markanich opened the scoring in the 25th minute with an assist from Pereyra. Markanich has been in impressive form this season, scoring nine goals in 30 appearances, a significant improvement from his previous seasons. Pereyra, in his first full season in the league, showcased his talent with his fifth goal of the season. Sporting KC's goalkeeper, John Pulskamp, made three saves but couldn't prevent the defeat. Sporting KC's struggles on the road continued as they fell to a 3-12-2 record away from home.
With this win, Minnesota United solidified their position in the Western Conference, sitting third with a two-point lead over Los Angeles FC and trailing the Vancouver Whitecaps by two points. Minnesota United will conclude their regular season with an away match against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Oct. 18, while Sporting KC will host the Houston Dynamo in their final game of the season.
