Rush Reunited: The Fifty Something Tour 2026

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush have decided to reunite the band after a decade since their last tour. The band stopped touring in 2015 due to drummer Neil Peart's health issues, who passed away in 2020. Despite initial doubts, Lee and Lifeson felt the urge to continue making music together and started jamming, reigniting their passion for playing.
The decision to reform Rush was influenced by the emotional impact of Peart's death on the band and their fans. Lee and Lifeson began reconnecting in the studio a couple of years ago, playing Rush songs for fun and finding joy in the music. They aim to honor their music, pay tribute to Peart, and celebrate their songs without trying to replace their irreplaceable bandmate.
Rush has announced their comeback tour, the Fifty Something tour, scheduled for 2026 with 12 North and Central American dates. Anika Nilles will be performing live drums for the tour, having impressed Lee with her skills in Jeff Beck's band. Tickets for the tour will go on sale in October, with an artist presale available for fans to secure their tickets early.
The band's intention is not to create a new version of Rush but to cherish their music, remember their lost member, and enjoy playing together again. The upcoming tour will be a celebration of their legacy and a chance for fans to experience Rush's music live once more.
