Chicagoland Weekend Entertainment Extravaganza: Shows, Events, and More!
This weekend in Chicagoland offers a variety of shows and events for entertainment seekers. Def Leppard will rock the Hard Rock Casino in Gary, while Jeremy Zucker will perform at the House of Blues. Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners will be at The Salt Shed, and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter will take the stage at the Des Plaines Theatre and the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles. Singer-songwriters Shawn Colvin and Marc Cohn will be at the Park West Chicago, and jazz and blues vocalist Catherine Russell will perform at the Old Town School Of Folk Music.
On stage, "Big White Fog" at Hyde Park's Court Theater explores the struggles of a family during the great depression and racism on the South Side of Chicago. The Chicago Shakespeare Theater presents a new play set in the universe of the "Paranormal Activity" franchise. For some spooky laughs, check out the improvised murder mystery "Where There's A Will, There's A Way" at The Second City in Old Town. Standup comedian George Wallace will be at the City Winery Chicago, and Dave Attell will perform at the Rivers Casino in Des Plaines.
SNL veteran Fred Armisen will visit Space in Evanston, and director Kevin Smith and his cast of characters will be at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont for ChronicCon. The Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe will host the Night of 1,000 Jack-o'-Lanterns, and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon will bring together top runners for the 47th running of the event on Sunday.
