Kimberly Schlapman's Journey: Advocating for Parkinson's Awareness and Support

Kimberly Schlapman, a member of the country quartet Little Big Town, recently made a move back to her childhood home in North Georgia to be closer to her family. Her decision was influenced by her mother's worsening symptoms of Parkinson's disease, which has made it necessary for Schlapman to provide care and support to her family. Partnering with AbbVie, Schlapman is advocating for those affected by Parkinson's through a new campaign called Changing the Tune of Parkinson’s Disease. The journey began 20 years ago when her mother's initial symptoms went unnoticed, leading to a diagnosis that has since impacted their family deeply. Despite the challenges, Schlapman remains hopeful for a cure and continues to support her mother through her journey with the disease.
