Ridge Riders: Local Kids Showcase Passion for Mountain Biking at Grand Vue Park

This weekend, local kids in Marshall County, West Virginia, are showcasing their passion for mountain biking at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville. The area is hosting its first-ever West Virginia Interscholastic Cycling Association race, part of a national program for students in grades 6-12 that focuses on personal development through mountain biking. The local team, Ridge Riders, comprised of 30 kids from Wetzel, Marshall, Ohio, and Belmont counties, is thrilled to host their inaugural home race. With an expected turnout of about 370 kids from 22 West Virginia counties, the event is set to be a thrilling experience for all participants.
Coach Kenamond highlights the enthusiasm of the kids for mountain biking, noting that just one weekend of racing is often all it takes to get them hooked on the sport. The Ridge Riders and NICA offer a platform for young riders to hone their skills, build camaraderie, and foster a love for mountain biking.
