Remembering Joan B. Kennedy: A Legacy of Advocacy and Inspiration

Joan B. Kennedy, the former wife of Senator Edward (Ted) M. Kennedy, was laid to rest on Wednesday after visiting hours at Carr Funeral Home in Charlestown, Massachusetts. A funeral Mass was held at St. Anthony Shrine in Boston, followed by a private burial. Joan, formerly known as Joan Bennett, was a model and pianist who married Ted in 1958. She had three children with him before their divorce. Joan was known for her advocacy for mental health and addiction recovery, breaking stigma and inspiring others to seek help and healing.
