Adam Brody and Leighton Meester Shine at Nobody Wants This Season 2 Premiere

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester recently attended the premiere of Nobody Wants This season 2, looking stylish on the red carpet. Brody sported a gray blazer and orange sweater, while Meester dazzled in a purple ombré gown. In the show, Brody plays an unconventional rabbi named Noah, opposite Kristen Bell as an agnostic sex podcaster named Joanne. Meester will join the cast as Joanne’s childhood frenemy in the upcoming season.
Justine Lupe, who plays Joanne’s sister on the show, praised the couple's chemistry on set, describing them as a great couple. Meester also expressed her enjoyment of working on the show, calling it one of the most fun experiences she's had on set. Nobody Wants This was created by Erin and Sara Foster, loosely inspired by Erin's interfaith marriage to Simon Tikhman.
Brody, who won a Critics Choice Award for his performance in season 1, spoke about his positive experience working with Bell on the show. He emphasized the comfort and familiarity that comes from working with someone you get along with. While Meester's role in the onscreen love story remains unknown, Brody enjoys collaborating with his wife in various projects.
The couple's close working relationship extends beyond the screen, with Brody revealing that they are each other's manager and share the same agents. Meester's focus on her art and aloofness to the business side of things adds to her outsider quality, allowing her to bring a unique perspective to her work. Nobody Wants This season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on Thursday, October 23.
