Ace Frehley played a pivotal role in shaping Kiss’s distinctive sound and image since joining the band in 1972 alongside Stanley, Simmons, and Peter Criss. His electrifying guitar solos, persona as “Space Ace,” and dynamic stage presence were integral to the band’s success. Despite departing from Kiss in 1982 to pursue a solo career, Frehley reunited with the group in 1996 for a monumental tour before parting ways again in 2002. His 1978 solo album, featuring the popular track “New York Groove,” remains a beloved favorite among Kiss enthusiasts.
