Raul Fernandez secured his first MotoGP victory at the Australian Grand Prix, dominating the race at Phillip Island. He capitalized on Marco Bezzecchi's penalties to take the checkered flag with a 1.4-second lead. Fabio di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez completed the podium spots.

At the start, Fabio Quartararo had a poor launch, allowing Bezzecchi and Fernandez to lead the race. Bezzecchi had to serve a double long lap penalty, which cost him track positions. Fernandez then extended his lead over Acosta and secured the win for Trackhouse Racing.

Acosta and Marquez battled for the second spot, with di Giannantonio eventually taking second place. Bezzecchi charged through the field to claim the final podium spot from Marquez. Luca Marini finished sixth, followed by Alex Rins in seventh.

Brad Binder led the KTMs in eighth place, with Enea Bastianini and Pol Espargaro rounding out the top 10. Quartararo finished in 11th place, while Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia crashed out of the race.

Bezzecchi's podium finish elevated him to third place in the standings, as he continues to impress in the MotoGP championship. Fernandez's victory marked a significant milestone for both himself and the Trackhouse Racing team, showcasing their potential in the competitive field of MotoGP racing.
