Dallas Trinity FC Makes History with Record-Breaking Attendance at State Fair Clásico

Dallas Trinity FC, Dallas' premier professional women's soccer team, made history by setting a new attendance record for a pro women's sporting event in Texas. The team faced off against Mexico's Club América Femenil in the inaugural State Fair Clásico at Cotton Bowl Stadium. Despite a 3-1 loss to Club América Femenil, the game drew an impressive crowd of 22,838 fans, surpassing the previous state record set by the KC Current vs. Houston Dash matchup. This turnout also marked a new Dallas record, exceeding the attendance of the Indiana Fever vs. Dallas Wings game at American Airlines Center. Club América Femenil's Sarah Luebbert, Bruna Villamala, and Annia Mejia scored for the visitors, while Sealey Strawn netted a goal for Dallas Trinity FC. Competitive eater Joey Chestnut entertained the crowd with a halftime performance, consuming 114 Crab & Mozzarella Arancini. Dallas Trinity FC will take on DC Power next at Cotton Bowl Stadium on November 2 at 4 p.m., with all games available for streaming on Peacock.
