Revival of SNW Festival: System of a Down, Babyface, and Kenny Chesney Set to Rock Las Vegas and Fort Worth in 2026

The Sick New World (SNW) nu metal festival, originally set to feature Metallica and Linkin Park in Las Vegas, was canceled due to poor ticket sales. Live Nation, the promoter, sold only 20,000 tickets out of the required 60,000 by December 2024. The high ticket prices starting at $472 for general admission deterred many fans from attending. Live Nation cited "unforeseen circumstances" for the cancellation.

Recently, signs in Las Vegas revealed that SNW will return on April 25, 2026, and a second festival will be held in Fort Worth on October 24, 2026. The lineup for these festivals has not been announced yet, but System of a Down is confirmed to perform in Vegas. R&B artist Babyface will continue his residency at the Palms Casino Resort with eight new dates across four holiday weekends.

Tickets for Babyface's shows will go on sale on October 24, with a presale for Citi cardholders starting on October 21. Kenny Chesney will also return to Vegas for more Sphere dates in 2026, following his successful 15-show run earlier this year. Stay tuned for an official announcement regarding his upcoming performances.

In conclusion, despite the cancellation of this year's SNW festival, Live Nation is planning to revive the event with two festivals in 2026, featuring exciting acts like System of a Down and Babyface. Kenny Chesney will also make a return to Vegas for more Sphere shows next year. Fans can look forward to these upcoming music events in Las Vegas and Fort Worth.
