Arkansas Basketball Alumni Shine in the NBA: Former Razorbacks Making Waves on the Court

The NBA season kicked off with former Arkansas players making their mark on the court. Players like Isaiah Joe and Jaylin Williams received their championship rings on opening night. Moses Moody and Jordan Walsh, who have also won titles, are playing for the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics this season. Anthony Black and Nick Smith Jr. are gearing up for another year in the pros with the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers, respectively. Adou Thiero, the newest #ProHog, was drafted by the Lakers this offseason. Veterans Bobby Portis and Daniel Gafford are still playing strong with the Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks.

In total, nine former Razorbacks are on NBA rosters this season, the second-highest number from an SEC school. Arkansas has more representation in the league with Malik Monk in Sacramento, Austin Reaves playing for the Lakers, and Taelon Peter, a rookie from Russellville and Arkansas Tech alum, joining the Indiana Pacers. The state of Arkansas continues to produce talented basketball players who are making their mark in the NBA.
