Seattle's Professional Women's Hockey League Team Unveils Classic Jerseys for Inaugural Season

Seattle's Professional Women's Hockey League team recently unveiled their home and away jerseys for the upcoming inaugural season. The jerseys feature the word "Seattle" stitched diagonally across the front, paying homage to the design of the first six PWHL teams. The color palettes of the jerseys draw inspiration from Seattle's natural surroundings, with a deep slate green, cream, and river blue accent.

The team's General Manager, Meghan Turner, expressed pride in the classic design of the jerseys, highlighting the journey that led to the team's establishment in Seattle. The jerseys serve as a tribute to the PWHL's inaugural season and symbolize the team's commitment to representing the city with pride. The team's official identity will be revealed before the start of the regular season in late November, and will be incorporated into the on-ice uniforms for the 2026-27 season.

Seattle's first game will be against PWHL Vancouver on Nov. 21, followed by their first home game at Climate Pledge Arena on Nov. 28. Seattle and Vancouver are the league's two expansion franchises, joining the original six teams in Boston, Minnesota, Montreal, New York, Ottawa, and Toronto. The team will be led by Coach Steve O'Rourke, bringing 15 years of coaching experience to the table. Additionally, four-time Olympian Hilary Knight was the first player signed by Seattle during the expansion process.

As the team gears up for their inaugural season, excitement is building among fans and players alike. Stay tuned for more updates and action-packed games as Seattle's PWHL team makes its mark in the league.
