Kevin Gates Faces Financial Troubles in Court as Estranged Wife Seeks Child and Spousal Support

Kevin Gates, the rapper, is facing financial troubles in court as his estranged wife, Dreka, alleges that he has stopped providing financial support for her and their children. Dreka is seeking child and spousal support from Kevin, claiming that he has neglected basic family expenses like property taxes and their children's private school fees. She also accuses Kevin of displaying his wealth by purchasing multiple luxury vehicles and a multimillion-dollar estate in Calabasas. The couple's Mississippi farm is reportedly facing foreclosure due to unpaid taxes, prompting Dreka to request monthly payments of $27,193 for child support and $46,274 for spousal support from Kevin.
In response to Dreka's claims, Kevin has argued that they were never legally married, a stance that Dreka disputes. She is also seeking to be designated as the primary physical custodian of their children, citing that she has been the primary caregiver for the majority of their time since 2023. The couple, who tied the knot in October 2015, shares two children, Islah and Khaza, aged 12 and 11, respectively. Dreka filed for divorce in July, citing irreconcilable differences.
Efforts to reach Kevin for comment have been made, but there has been no response thus far.
