Paul Walter Hauser Urges Sam Rockwell to Play Lorne Michaels in Chris Farley Biopic

Paul Walter Hauser is set to portray Chris Farley in an upcoming biopic directed by Josh Gad. During an interview at the premiere of "Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere," Hauser expressed his desire for Sam Rockwell to play Lorne Michaels in the film. Hauser directly addressed Rockwell, urging him to take on the role and promising to entertain him with his Farley impression.
Hauser mentioned that he received the latest script draft from screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, describing it as the best version yet. He hinted that filming could commence in the early to middle of the following year pending approval from New Line and Warner Bros. This collaboration would mark the second time Hauser and Rockwell have worked together, following their involvement in Clint Eastwood's "Richard Jewell."
The biopic, announced in April 2024, is based on the biography "The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts" by Tom Farley Jr. and Tanner Colby. While specific plot details are still undisclosed, the film promises to shed light on the life and career of the iconic "Saturday Night Live" cast member.
