Bon Jovi's Journey Back to the Stage: The Forever Tour 2026
Jon Bon Jovi recently opened up about his vocal cord injury and the journey back to recovery. During an interview on Today, he shared his perspective on singing for joy rather than applause. In 2022, Bon Jovi underwent surgery to address an atrophying vocal cord, which had been causing issues with his voice. He found a surgeon who placed an implant on the outside of his vocal cords to help with the condition.
Reflecting on his long career and the toll it may have taken on his voice, Bon Jovi acknowledged the hard work he has put in over the past 40 years. Despite the challenges he faced, he announced his return to the stage for the Forever Tour in 2026, starting with shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City before heading to Europe. Bon Jovi expressed his confidence in being able to perform night after night for the tour, likening the preparation to training for a marathon.
Throughout his recovery process, Bon Jovi admitted to moments of doubt but found motivation to keep going. He emphasized the importance of being physically, mentally, and spiritually prepared for the demands of touring. The Forever Tour will feature songs from the band's new album, Forever (Legendary Edition), which includes collaborations with artists like Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Avril Lavigne, Bruce Springsteen, and Robbie Williams. While potential guest appearances are not confirmed, Bon Jovi hinted at the possibility of special guests joining him on stage during the tour.
The Forever Tour is set to kick off at Madison Square Garden on July 7, 2026, and will conclude at Wembley Stadium in London on September 4, 2026. Bon Jovi's perseverance and dedication to his craft have brought him back to the stage, ready to share his music with fans once again.
