In 2022, Bon Jovi underwent surgery to address an atrophying vocal cord, which had been causing issues with his voice. He found a surgeon who placed an implant on the outside of his vocal cords to help with the condition.

Despite the challenges he faced, he announced his return to the stage for the Forever Tour in 2026, starting with shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City before heading to Europe.
