Kiss Unveils Long-Lost Song 'Mistake' in Dressed to Kill Box Set: A Country Twist and Unreleased Gems

Kiss has recently released a long-lost song titled "Mistake" as part of their new Dressed to Kill box set. The track, written by Paul Stanley, showcases the band's unexpected venture into country and western music, complete with a lively instrumental hoedown at the end. "Mistake" is one of the two previously unreleased studio tracks featured in the box set, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the band's third album and includes alternate takes and two full 1975 concerts from the same tour that led to their career-defining Alive! album. The other unreleased track is an early version of Gene Simmons' "Burning Up With Fever," which was also included in demo form on the expanded box set for 1976's Destroyer and later officially released on Simmons' 1978 solo album.

The Dressed to Kill 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe box set is now available on major streaming platforms, while CD and vinyl editions can be pre-ordered on the official Kiss website. Kiss is set to perform two "unmasked" shows at the upcoming Kiss Kruise: Land-Locked in Vegas event, marking their first performance since the conclusion of their farewell tour in 2023 and their first public appearance following the passing of founding lead guitarist Ace Frehley on October 16.

Experience Kiss' rendition of "Mistake" and witness Paul Stanley's performance of the song on the Kiss Kruise V. Don't miss out on this exciting release from Kiss, and stay tuned for more updates from the legendary rock band.
