Rebel Wilson's 'Girl Group' Comedy Film: Meet the Star-Studded Cast and Production Team
Rebel Wilson's upcoming comedy film, "Girl Group," has added Jennifer Coolidge and Nicole Scherzinger to its cast. Wilson is writing, directing, producing, and starring in the film, which is currently in production under Live Nation Studios and Future Artists Entertainment. Coolidge and Scherzinger will be playing roles in the movie, although specific details have not been revealed.
In "Girl Group," Wilson portrays a pop diva who is ousted from her girl group's reunion tour and is assigned community service. She decides to make a comeback by mentoring a group of teenage misfits for an important record label audition. The star-studded cast also includes Randall Park, Sheridan Smith, Jamie Lee O'Donnell, Guz Khan, Jolene Blalock, Ashley Roberts, Melanie Chisholm, Shaznay Lewis, and Loren Gray.
The film is being produced by Wilson's Camp Sugar production company and Matt Williams of Future Artists Entertainment, with Live Nation Studios as the executive producer. Chris Scott, known for his work on "Wicked," is the choreographer for the film. Live Nation Studios aims to support artists in sharing their stories through film and TV projects, having previously worked on productions like "The French Montana Story: For Khadija" and "The Weeknd's Hurry Up Tomorrow."
Future Artists Entertainment, established in 2019, has produced projects such as "Bank of Dave 2," "Pokerface" featuring Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth, and "Robin and the Hoods" starring Naomie Harris and Gwendoline Christie.
