Bijou Phillips Seeks Legal Name Change for Daughter Amid Divorce from Danny Masterson

Bijou Phillips, the ex-wife of Danny Masterson, has filed to legally change the name of their 11-year-old daughter from Fianna Francis Masterson to Fianna Francis Phillips. The filing is awaiting approval from a judge.
On the same day, a judge also changed the legal marital status of both Phillips and Masterson to "single." Masterson is currently serving time in North Kern State Prison in Delano, Calif., after being convicted of raping two women in 2023.
Phillips filed for divorce shortly after Masterson's conviction, ending their 12-year marriage. Masterson requested that Phillips receive physical and legal custody of their daughter, Fianna.
In December 2024, Masterson's legal team filed an appeal challenging his rape conviction, arguing that procedural and substantive errors undermined the fairness of the trial. Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison in September 2023 after being found guilty on two counts of forcible rape.
Phillips, the daughter of John Phillips and Genevieve Waite, also requested spousal support at the time of the divorce. Masterson initially faced up to 45 years in prison and was convicted on three counts of rape by force or fear.
"The Ranch" actor was arrested in June 2020 on charges of rape, released on bond, and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He has maintained his innocence throughout the legal proceedings.
