Unleash Your Inner Goonie with Lego's New 2,912-Piece Inferno Set!

Lego has introduced a new 2,912-piece set inspired by the 1985 adventure classic, The Goonies. The set features a detailed recreation of the film's pirate ship, the Inferno, including iconic rooms like the Fratellis' hideout and One-Eyed Willy's treasure room. It comes with 12 minifigures, including characters like Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, and Data, along with new molded pieces for Sloth's pirate hat and Mama Fratelli's beret. The set was designed by Greek 3D artist Vaggelis Ntezes and will be available through Lego's early access program on November 1 and in stores on November 4 for $309.99.
To celebrate the launch, Lego enlisted Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan, who played Data in the original film, to introduce the set in a mini-film filled with Easter eggs. Quan also shared a behind-the-scenes story about filming the real Inferno reveal scene in the movie. The Goonies set is part of Lego Ideas, the company's fan-submission program, and Ntezes aimed to combine nostalgia, fantasy, and creativity in designing the set. Early buyers will receive a bonus 179-piece Goonies: The Walsh' Attic set, recreating the attic scene where the kids find the treasure map.
The Goonies, written by Chris Columbus and starring Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman, and others, remains a beloved adventure film from the '80s. The movie is a streaming favorite and has a sequel in development. Fans can now relive the Goonies' adventure through this Lego set, bringing the iconic film to life one brick at a time.
