Boss: Action-Comedy Film Secures Global Distribution Deals

Finecut has successfully secured distribution deals for the action-comedy film Boss, which has been a popular hit in South Korea. The movie has been acquired for various regions including Cambodia, the Indian subcontinent, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, and inflight entertainment. It has also been sold to North America and Mongolia, with upcoming releases in Indonesia and Taiwan.

Directed by Ra Hee-chan, Boss follows the story of three gang members vying for the position of a new boss. The film features a talented cast including Jo Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, Lee Kyoo-hyung, and Lee Sung-min. The movie premiered at the Busan International Film Festival and has become the 10th highest-grossing film in South Korea this year, earning $15.6 million from 2.3 million admissions in just three weeks.

Director Ra, known for films like Going By The Book and Mr Idol, recently attended a screening of Boss at the Hawai’i International Film Festival. The film is produced by Hive Media Corp, the same production company behind successful films like 12.12: The Day, Handsome Guys, and Harbin. With its engaging storyline and talented cast, Boss has captivated audiences and continues to make waves in the film industry.
