Calvert County Winter Sports Registration Now Open: Adult and Youth Basketball Leagues Available
Winter sports registration is now open for Calvert County residents through the Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation (CCPR). Adult basketball is available for players aged 18 and older, with games held at the Northeast Community Center in Chesapeake Beach on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The registration deadline is Friday, Dec. 19, with a team fee of $800 per team. Youth basketball registration is open for children aged 9-17, with a registration fee of $100 for the first child and discounts for additional family members. Volunteer coaches are needed for youth basketball divisions. Rookie basketball is open for children in kindergarten through third grade to learn fundamental skills, with a weekly program starting in January.
