George Lynch Returns to Lynch Mob: The Controversial Comeback Tour

After announcing his retirement from Lynch Mob, former Dokken guitarist George Lynch is back on tour under the band's controversial name. Despite initially planning a farewell tour, Lynch changed his mind due to the unexpected attention and opportunities that arose. The current lineup includes drummer Brian Tichy, Andrew Freeman, Jaron Gulino, and Lynch himself. The band is set to release a new album titled Dancing With the Devil.

Lynch had previously considered touring as George Lynch & the Mob but ultimately decided to continue with Lynch Mob. He candidly admitted to going back on his promise to retire the band name, stating that he made a hasty decision. Despite acknowledging the racial connotations of the name, Lynch defended his choice to keep it, citing the lack of connection with the replacement name Electric Freedom.

The Final Ride tour, initially announced in January 2025, marked Lynch's supposed retirement from Lynch Mob. However, the band is now actively touring with dates scheduled through March 2026. Despite the ups and downs, Lynch remains unapologetic about his decisions and is focused on the future of Lynch Mob.
