City Section Playoffs: Exciting Matchups and Intense Competition Ahead
City Section Playoffs are in full swing with exciting matchups scheduled for Monday and Wednesday. On Monday, the Semifinals of the Open Division will feature #4 Birmingham facing off against #1 Cleveland, and #3 Granada Hills taking on #2 Eagle Rock. The winners of these Semifinals will secure the top two seeds in Division I.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, the Division I First Round will kick off with several games on the schedule. #16 Maywood Academy will play against the top seed, #1 TBA, while #9 Granada Hills Kennedy will face #8 LACES. Other matchups include #12 Panorama vs. #5 LA Roosevelt, #13 Santee vs. #4 Venice, #14 RFK Community vs. #3 Palisades, #10 Banning vs. #7 Van Nuys, and #15 LA University vs. #2 TBA. The quarterfinals for Division I will take place on November 7 at the higher seeds, followed by the semifinals on November 10. The Division I and Open finals are set for November 12 at Valley College at 5 and 7 p.m.
