King of the Hill" Renewed for Two More Seasons on Hulu: A Look at the Revival and What's to Come
The popular animated series "King of the Hill" is set to return for two more seasons on Hulu. The renewal will extend the show to its 17th season, with each season consisting of 10 episodes. Originally picked up by Hulu in 2023, the first batch of 10 episodes premiered as Season 14 earlier this year, with Season 15 scheduled to debut in 2026.
Season 14 received positive reviews from both fans and critics, boasting a 98% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and ranking number two on the Nielsen Top 10 streaming chart. The series has amassed over 1 billion hours of streaming globally on Hulu and Disney+.
The revival of "King of the Hill" reunited most of the original cast, including series co-creator Mike Judge and actors like Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss. Following the passing of Johnny Hardwick, Huss has taken over voicing the character Dale Gribble.
The new episodes see Hank and Peggy Hill returning to Arlen after their time in Saudi Arabia, where Hank worked for an oil company. Despite the changes, the familiar Rainey Street gang is still around to provide their perspective on modern America.
Co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, along with showrunner Saladin Patterson, executive produce the new seasons. The series is produced by 20th Television Animation, with additional executive producers including Michael Rotenberg, Howard Klein, and Dustin Davis from Bandera Entertainment.
