Rush co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have announced additional shows for their 2026 headline tour, "Fifty Something," in honor of the band's music, legacy, and late drummer Neil Peart. The tour now includes a total of 60 shows, marking the first time Lee and Lifeson have toured together in eleven years. General ticket sales for the new shows will begin on October 31 at 12 PM.
In a heartfelt statement, Lee expressed the band's excitement to perform Rush's music once again and pay tribute to their history. They will be joined by drummer Anika Nilles, who will add a new dimension to their sound. The band aims to deliver a memorable show that celebrates their legacy and the music they have created over the years.
Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart, Neil's widow and daughter, expressed their support for the tour, highlighting Neil's unique contributions to Rush's music as a drummer and lyricist. The band's upcoming performances promise to be unforgettable, showcasing their legendary music live once again.
The tour will feature special "evening with" shows where Rush will play two sets each night, drawing from a catalog of 35 songs that include their greatest hits and fan favorites. Anika Nilles, known for her work with Jeff Beck, will accompany Lee and Lifeson on the tour, adding her own musical flair to the performances.
Rush's 2026 tour dates include stops in various cities across North America, offering fans the opportunity to experience the band's iconic music live. In addition to the tour, Rush has released a 50-track super deluxe anthology, Rush 50, which spans their discography and includes rare recordings from their early days to their final performance together on the R40 Tour. Fans can choose from different editions of the anthology to enjoy Rush's music in a new and comprehensive way.
