UTM Sport Management Students Gain Valuable Experience at NFL London Games

UTM Sport Management Students Return from NFL London Trip
Six sport management students from the University of Tennessee at Martin, led by Dr. Dexter Davis, recently completed a two-week working trip to London. The students had the opportunity to work at two National Football League games held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This trip marked the second time UT Martin students participated in such an experience, with the previous group attending NFL games in London last fall.
During their time in London, the students not only worked at the NFL games but also explored various sports venues and immersed themselves in international sport cultures. They worked at the games featuring the Cleveland Browns vs. Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets, assisting with customer service and distributing gifts to staff members.
When not working at the games, the students visited iconic sports sites such as London Stadium, Leeds-Beckett University, Headingley Stadium, All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club at Wimbledon, as well as cultural landmarks like Parliament, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey. Dr. Davis emphasized the value of this experience for the students' future careers in sport management.
UT Martin sport management students have had numerous working opportunities under Dr. Davis's guidance, including previous Super Bowls and the upcoming Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California. The hands-on experience gained from working at international sports events will undoubtedly benefit the students as they pursue their careers in the field.
