Kelly Clarkson's Studio Sessions Residency: A Comeback After Personal Loss

Kelly Clarkson is making a comeback to the stage with new shows for her Studio Sessions residency after a hiatus following the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. She took time off to be with her children during Blackstock's illness and passing. Clarkson announced the postponement of her August dates on Aug. 6 but later revealed her return on Nov. 3, adding new shows for next year in August – 7, 8, 14, and 15. Tickets for the public go on sale on Nov. 7, with presales earlier in the week. The singer will also perform at Studio Sessions this Friday, marking her first show since the postponement.

Brandon Blackstock, who passed away on Aug. 7, 2025, after a battle with cancer, was Clarkson's ex-husband and former manager. He had two children with Clarkson and two from a previous marriage. Blackstock started his career at Starstruck Entertainment, his father's company, managing artists like Blake Shelton and Rascal Flatts. Clarkson and Blackstock met in 2006 and got together in 2012, marrying in 2013. Blackstock managed Clarkson from 2017 until their separation in 2020. They share two children, River and Remington, born in 2014 and 2016, respectively.

The new dates for Kelly Clarkson's Studio Sessions residency mark her return to the stage after a period of personal loss and reflection. Her upcoming shows in August promise to be a heartfelt and powerful experience for fans eager to see her perform again. Clarkson's resilience and dedication to her craft shine through as she prepares to share her music with audiences once more.
