Robert Pattinson Takes on the Role of Scytale in Denis Villeneuve's 'Dune Messiah' and Talks Filming Challenges

Actor Robert Pattinson has been busy filming Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune Messiah” in various locations such as Budapest and Jordan. In the film, Pattinson is set to portray Scytale, a genetically engineered Tleilaxu Face Dancer with the ability to mimic humans. The character is controlled by the Bene Tleilax, a secretive group of genetic manipulators. Pattinson recently discussed his experience filming in the desert heat, which he found exhausting but allowed his brain to relax.
“Dune: Messiah” is a sequel to “Dune” and takes place twelve years after the events of the first film. It follows Paul Atreides, played by Timothee Chalamet, who is now Emperor and faces challenges from various forces. The movie also features actors such as Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, and Anya Taylor-Joy, with Linus Sandgren as the cinematographer and Hans Zimmer returning to compose the score. The film is set to be released on December 18th.
Following his work on “Dune Messiah,” Robert Pattinson will star in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman: Part II,” scheduled to begin filming early next year.
