Unveiling the Brataroo 9500 Turbo: The Ultimate Gymkhana Machine

Get ready for the return of Gymkhana, a thrilling automotive spectacle that combines drifting, rally, and time attack in a display of pure adrenaline. At the 2025 SEMA Show, Subaru Motorsports USA and Hoonigan unveil the "Brataroo 9500 Turbo," a modified Subaru BRAT designed for extreme hooning and starring in the upcoming "Aussie Shred" Gymkhana film. This beast of a machine, driven by Travis Pastrana, boasts a turbocharged 670-horsepower Boxer engine, AWD system, and a six-speed sequential gearbox, making it the wildest Gymkhana car to date.
The Brataroo 9500 Turbo rides on Yokohama ADVAN A052 or APEX tires mounted on custom 18-inch forged monoblock wheels, paying homage to rally heritage and the original BRAT design. Its carbon fiber widebody construction, designed by Khyzyl Saleem, combines classic styling with modern aerodynamics for maximum performance on Gymkhana courses. Active aero features, including adjustable front fender louvers and interchangeable rear wings, enhance the car's stability and control during high-speed maneuvers and jumps.
Inside the cockpit, the Brataroo features a blend of retro charm and modern technology, with a carbon-fiber dashboard, wood-grain accents, and updated controls for active aero adjustments. Subaru of America, Vermont SportsCar, and a team of technical partners have collaborated to create this unique Gymkhana machine, which will be showcased at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Don't miss the opportunity to witness the next chapter in Gymkhana history with the Brataroo 9500 Turbo!
