Introducing CIA: The Newest Addition to the FBI Universe on CBS
CBS is expanding its FBI series with a new offshoot called CIA, which has faced some changes in its cast and crew. The original FBI series debuted in 2019, followed by FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. CIA, starring Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss, follows an unconventional CIA case officer and a seasoned FBI agent working together in New York to investigate threats on U.S. soil.
Despite facing some challenges with showrunner changes and cast exits, CIA is set to premiere in the upcoming season. The show will be part of the same universe as Dick Wolf's FBI series and will explore the collaboration between the CIA and FBI in tackling criminal cases. Tom Ellis hinted at potential crossovers with the original FBI series, emphasizing the importance of sharing information between the two agencies for the greater good.
